NHL | May 16, 2024 Oilers vs Canucks |
Canucks +131 at circa |
Won $131 |
Play Type: Premium | ||
Rating: 2 Units Edmonton has been inconsistent in this series though they did turn in their best showing defensively in Game 4 of the series. The problem for the Oilers remains the fact that their goaltending situation is fluid, which isn’t what you want to have in the postseason. Skinner has been dismal in this series and Pickard allowed the Canucks to rally in the third period to tie the game before Bouchard won it in the final minute. Silovs has held his own after being thrust into the starting role after Thatcher Demko, then Casey DeSmith suffered injuries. The Canucks have been playing solid enough hockey and if they stay out of the box, it makes things that much tougher for Edmonton. Five of the Oilers’ 14 goals in the series have come with the man advantage. Look for Vancouver to make the Oilers grind it out and that’s a major ask for the Oilers. Look for the Canucks to feed off the home crowd and regain home-ice advantage by prevailing in Game 5 here. |

NBA | May 16, 2024 Nuggets vs Wolves |
Nuggets +115 at circa |
Lost $100.0 |
Play Type: Premium | ||
Rating: 2 Units The spread is currently listed at Nuggets +2.5, but if you like the defending champions in this game, the money line is the more profitable play. Denver has made adjustments, while Minnesota seems to be searching for answers. The Timberwolves did not lose three straight games all season until now, and it is not a fluke either. Anthony Edwards might someday be the best player in the world, but as for now, that title still belongs to the Joker. Jokic has averaged 37.5 PPG over the past two victories, and this is going against the top defensive unit in the league, and the Defensive Player of the Year. Jokic hit eight of nine shots with Gobert as the primary defender, and Denver knows they can blow out Minnesota's defensive gameplan if they get Towns in foul trouble. Anthony Edwards was stifled by double teams in Game five, the Nuggets are willing to let guys like McDaniels or Alexander-Walker try to beat them on the perimeter while taking Edwards out of the game. The defending champs have the momentum and will close out this series on the road. |

MLB | May 16, 2024 Mets vs Phillies |
Phillies -143 at YouWager |
Lost $143.0 |
Play Type: Premium | ||
Rating: 2 Units The New York Mets have not been a reliable squad. The Mets have only won three of their last ten games including defeats in the opening three bouts of this series after an ugly 10-5 loss on Wednesday. The Philadelphia Phillies have the best record in the big leagues and are sporting an 8-2 record in their last ten games. Mets starter Jose Quintana has been a disaster. The veteran has squandered 18 runs in his last four outings spanning only 20.1 innings. Phillies’ starter Taijuan Walker has been outstanding in his last two performances, conceding only four runs in 12.1 innings. I recommend the run line considering four of the Phillies' last five wins have been by two or more runs. |

MLB | May 16, 2024 Yankees vs Twins |
Yankees +107 at circa |
Won $107 |
Play Type: Premium | ||
Rating: 2 Units The Yankees struggled against Ryan last season but that was partially due to the team's frequent strikeouts. They struck out 17 times in 14 innings over his two starts against the Yankees. This year, however, the Yankees are sixth in baseball in fewest strikeouts per game. The likes of Soto and Verdugo also gives the Yankees more potent lefties to throw at Ryan in this game. Additionally, Ryan has been subpar at home this season. Ryan is just 1-2 in four home starts this season with an ERA of 4.63. Yankees righty Schmidt has been outstanding on the road this season with a 2-1 record and a 1.99 ERA away from Yankee Stadium. He has averaged over five innings per start in his four road contests as well. The Yankees have won four of Schmidt's last five starts overall as well. I like the Yankees to close out this series with a win over Ryan and the Twins. |
